I am currently getting the MIL light coming on, and saying on after my bike gets warm (before driving). I found all the codes flashes in the service manual, however it does not reference a solid light. I also had my brakes go out completely last trail ride and i no longer need to press the break to start the engine. Any ideas???

The MIL light generally means something is wrong with the EFI/ECM system but it also can mean there is an electrical issue anywhere within the system as well. Check..everything...all connectors, fuses, terminals, plugs. When you say the brakes went out..you mean No brakes? like the peddle goes to the floor? There are reports of some bad master cylinders.

I just also noticed that my speedo is not working. Could this contribute to the MIL light? And yes, the brakes felt a little bit spongy but then by the time I was done my ride they drop almost to the floor. I picked up some brake fluid and am going to try and bleed them out before I call a MC replacement.
