Going from a 2021 ZForce 8p0trail to a 2023 Uforce 800
« on: February 21, 2026, 11:29:31 PM »
Hi all. My needs are changing so I’m looking at changing up to a Uforce 800. I’ve had a blast in my modded ZForce 800 trail but I really need to get one with a dumper bed. I rockhound and a bed would be nice when I’m off-roading back out of the mountains in the Mojave Desert with tools and a bunch of heavy agate/Jasper. I’m wondering if the 2023 UForce 800 suffers from the same cockmamy air intake issues as my ZForce 800 did until I did my mod. Which by the way changed everything and after 1000 miles is still working flawlessly for air intake and the CVT intake/exhaust.

Would have to check but as I recall the UForce's intakes were always different then the Zs. Still need a better filter but the actual intake location was different.

10-4 NMK. Glad to hear your suspicions are that it’s different. Has the design changed in the current iteration of the ZForces? Just curious. It almost seems like they designed the entire machine and at the last minute remembered that they had forgotten to design an intake and scribbled it on a napkin at lunch and sent it to manufacturing! To think some of us (glen) resorted to a leftover pizza box to fashion some thing better should embarras the crap out of those peeps at the factory. Thanks for your response NMK.

The Gen-2 Zs design has the intakes relocated to the sides. Better for the heat but only reduces the dust intake by about 50% people say. There is no gen-2 Us so..
