Anyone familiar with these tires? Quadboss QTB826?
« on: August 03, 2017, 07:04:40 AM »
Hey,
In my quest to make my Uforce 800 street legal, I need DOT tires.  I really like the Quadboss QTB826 in
27x9-14 & 27x11-14, seems they don't make a 26-which is stock.  Can be seen here, also, is this a good price and value, IYHO?

Is anyone familiar with these and have experience on asphalt, regular dirt roads, packed 2in rock roads,
plus general off road-mud, wet grass, plus-steep mixed terrain in the rain and snow as I hope to one day get to the roads in the Olympic National Forest in WA.

Also, going to a 27 from a 26, will I need to lift or add a spacer, or is there enough clearance?
would appreciate any feedback.

thanks and good riding,
Rob

Don't have any experience with these tires but anything QuadBoss is a quality product and you can trust them and their warranty. These look like a great tire..one even I would consider. Going up one size you shouldn't need to do anything as for lift or spacers.

They look like a truck tire!  Let us know how they ride if you get them.

Hey, thanks for the replies,
Yes, they look like truck tires!  If I'm going to drive on rocky FS roads I want a good tire, with a square tread that bites the road and with greater bearing surface and deep tread, 8 ply sidewalls they should have a long life.
That's my hope anyway!

Mmm..probably not 8 ply sidewall. I don'the know of anyone that takes the total number of ply all the way to the bead...but knowing QB they are probably 4 or 6 of the 8 plys.
