So I bought a 2 inch bracket lift I modified the front to bolt up nice now I need to get a shock compressor to get the shock back on I will get some pics up as soon as I get done

Do you happen to know what is causing the suspension to not drop out enough to allow the shocks to be reinstalled without using a spring compressor? I looked at doing this to my Uforce but felt there would be some damage caused somewhere by forcing this modification..
The lift kit relocated the mount. If you take the shock off while jacked up you will see it isn't that much more downward travel on the suspension.

When I had my Uforce jacked up and pulled my front shocks to make my lift bracket templates there was absolutely no more drop on the suspension. I thought it may have been because of the sway bar so I unhooked that and gained nothing. The only thing left hooked up were the tie rod ends. That is what I assumed was the culprit holding the suspension from dropping down further and was not about to mess with trying to relocate the rack to allow for more suspension drop. My concern was that the added pressure on each side of the rack when the suspension unloaded would pretty much want to rip it in two each time it did.

First of all, sorry for bringing up an old topic.

But i am wanting to increase my lift and tyre size.

I have found something on ebay.

Has anyone else tried these?

Any idea if it would damage anything?

Would they go on the top or bottom of the shock?

Thanks in advance.

So just put on at 2 inch bracket lift and 1.5 inch wheel spacers and went with a 28inch motoboss I still have a little rubbing on hard turns but that is because the motoboss is such a square tire I thing if I woul have went with the mega mayhams I wouldn't have any problems!
Getting ready to use same kit on mine, what did you end up using to compress the springs / shocks? Do you think limiting straps are needed to keep suspension from drooping to far after the lift?

Jimbo,

Have you added this yet?  If so, how did it turn out?  Any pics?  Did you use the exact extenders in the link or different extenders?

Thanks,
Ken

Here in Europa we are street legal; we drive most of the time on hard roads and tarmac. That is why I habe to sets of Wheels:
- the standart Abuzz terrain tires
- pure onroad tires; the CST Stryder in 26/9 and 26/11 on 14 inch.
