I have just purchased my first side by side, a Uforce 500 HO.  When I took my test ride the dealer required that I wear a helmet and the machine seemed fine, but now that I have it home and riding around the yard without a helmet I've discovered that the cab noise is terrible.  Driver and passenger have to shout to hear each other.
My question is, is there any way to tone down, decrease, the cab noise level or is this a common situation for all side by sides?  I test drove other brands before settling on the CF Moto and didn't notice any of them as having so much noise inside the cab.
What can I do to decrease the noise level?  Or can nothing be done?

Most are pretty noisy. You are sitting right by the engine with only a little bit of plastic between you. You can add a secondary muffler to it, and that will help. If you are bent on cutting noise, you could also try the sticky sheets of sound dampener, think that's what it's called, on the underside of the cab plastic.

Thanks for your input.  I had thought about the sound dampener but I have no idea where to find it.  I don't think the problem is actually the muffler, it isn't all that noisy.  I'll try to find some sound dampener and give it a try.

I had the same issue with noise, but have been tweeking with heat shield sound damping panmels (heat was another issue).  I'll attach a few pics but will go out this afternoon to take more, and add details of what I used and where I found it, along with any prices.  I'm just north of you in Oakland Tn, only 50 miles and was raised in Grenada.  We have 250 archers of hill land in Carrol county just outside of Blackhawk Ms that makes for some excellent riding.

I took my 500 out for a good high RPM trail ride today. Came home with a headache from the engine noise. The machine runs great otherwise. I need to address damping the sound as well.

Did the exhaust wrap and sound deadening work? Any before / after measurements?

I am deciding between the CFMoto 500 EPS and the Polaris 570 EPS. It will be primarily used by my elderly parents here in south Texas, so pumping extra heat into the cabin when it is already close to 100 degrees outside could be a deal breaker.

I do like the look of it and the orange color.

I was able to get rid of a good bit of the noise, a huge difference than without the sound proofing.  I only wrapped the exhaust twice, but need to go back and add another layer or two.  I have found the larger foam pool noodles to be your best and quickest fix to both heat and noise passage into the cab.  The benefits being that as it gets colder, these are easily removed to allow the heat to help keep you warm on the longer rides.
