So took my Uforce for a lil ride tonight an heard this crack pop sound
Stopped couldn’t see anything
So went a lil more and heard what sounded like a rock rattling around

Pulled the clutch cover only to find a horror story

Yikes...never seen that before. Sheaves should be OK..just clean them up with some steel wool and a scrotchbrite pad. That retainer nit however should not have split like that. It holds the clutch together while the bolt holes the complete clutch on. How's the threads on the spindle? What are the proper torque values on the 1000s for that?

Ya its a new one to me as well
The sheaves are pretty dented but I did smooth them out an clean them all up ain’t perfect Likley going to be looking at shorter belt life with the dimples

Threads quick look seem ok but the damage had my attention lol

Hopefully I can find a new nut quick pretty basic m22 half nut left hand so fingers crossed I don’t have to go Cfmoto an wait

Got the sheaves all cleaned up not new again but smooth with dents lol fml

Got new nut 50$ that hurt for a nut

Now I have this faint squeal at idle
Not sure why it is any ideas would be helpful

My first thought is that the belt needs to seat to the newly cleaned plates but also maybe the bearing ?

The bearing is dry spins freely by hand but sounds like an old roller skate on a gravel rd I’ll start there an then check the clearances once it’s back together thanks I never thought of checking it that way

Thought I’d just add a lil update to this
clutches have been holding up well

Bearings replacement was easy enuf

The squealing was the belt it’s self brand new ultimax belt an it’s just a lil bit off it may work in but it’s a spare for now

Put another one on an not a sound

Did find a hunterworks vid that explained it and made sense to me anyway lol
