Has anyone tried other brand parts on the Uforce 1000? Since the Ranger and especially the Defender are very similar utvs, would some parts work? From what I can see the easiest swap would be shocks, they look about the same length and should have the correct spring rate and all that...

Not much is a direct swap. The Chinese don't invent anything...they copy other people's work, then alter it just enough to side-step possible copyright and patent issues then reproduce it inhouse (China) as cheaply as possible. Even the Z for example...many felt it was a copy of the old RzR 800...and it was but the shocks weren't even close to being the same length..along with everything else. Measure first! That's all I can suggest.

I found some elka shocks for a Ranger on Ebay but no measurements or anything on line for the elka shocks and having difficulties finding any measurements for online at all. When I was looking for alternative shocks for my Z I found that unit-specific forums a great source for things like shock measurements. It will take some searches and some time but you most often will find what you need. I did...and found CFM-Z Forces have no direct cross-over for shock length. However if you find that the other brand is within an inch longer..might consider them. Know too that Bandit will custom build anyone a set of shocks for anything. Just need the details.

Old tread ya ya but I've been looking for new shocks as mine have failed with less then 3k on them
So far what I've found is the ranger xp fronts are the same size as per Elka now they don't show the eyelit hole size so I'm still looking I assume there the same but will confirm later
In saying that there's a ton more shocks made for them at way better prices out there

I have not yet as my dealer replaced my stock ones that were bad Under warranty so I never swapped them
