Until I can make my snorkel would anybody recommend replacing the little mesh pre-filter with an oiled foam sock? Pros and cons. Thanks.

Until I can make my snorkel would anybody recommend replacing the little mesh pre-filter with an oiled foam sock? Pros and cons. Thanks.

Where it is it will get clogged far too quickly and restrict flow. It would be better not to. Best to get that Uni in the box for now and check it often.

Thanks, uni and rim grease on it.

Only need rim grease on the cover seal. The clamp and flange work better without any grease on it. And remember this lip has to go.
