I love what you did. Nice job!
I'd like to copy it on a 1000 and and 800.

Was the link you provided (Rocky Mountain ATV/MC) the one you ordered? Any other parts?

Any other suggestions on the install?

We just did the Paiute Trail in Utah, and we pulled our fenders off all three of these machines. (Cforce 1000 Overland, Cforce 800 XC, and a '23 ZForce 800 Trail).

With the fenders off, all 3 met the 50" requirement. Some of the gates were wide enough to allow machines up to 54 inches, and some were a bit tighter. Taking the fenders off is not ideal, but it isn't very hard either. I think it really depends on the actual gate widths, which can vary.

FWIW... We actually like our machines better without the fenders, I doubt we'll even put them back on.

CForce 1000 / Air Filter
July 14, 2023, 11:43:35 AM
Does anyone have an opinion on air filters for the CForce 1000?
Recommendations on the OEM vs an aftermarket filter.
I've heard that some aftermarket filters might not fit tightly.

CForce 1000 / Rotopax Gas Can Mounting
July 03, 2023, 02:16:54 PM
Just checking to see if anyone has mounted any Rotopax gas cans on their 1000.
If so, where / how did you mount them up.
I'm thinking of mounting them on the front rack, but not sure if there is better location that has been discovered.

FWIW....  I had my valve adjustment done at 250 miles, and it cost more than I wanted to pay.
Close to $500 dollars in Utah.

Yes, it's frustrating!!

I would agree with the throttle touchiness.
I have a 1000 Overland and it has the same issue.
I have ridden both the 800 and the 600, and although the belt engagement feel has some similar jerkiness to the 1000, their thumb throttle has a lot more modulation due to the lack of power.

After awhile of riding it, the rider learns how to finesse it, but it would be nice to have extra ability to modulate?

Any recommendation on a specific clutch kit that helps with this? Main Street Cycle?

Update.....
Well, I just finished a week on the Paiute trail in central Utah.
I had pulled off my fender flares just in case. There were several gates that would have accommodated the stock fender flares no problem, but others that would not have. It was better to be in compliance with the 50" regulation, than not.

One awesome trail system. We only got through about 260 miles, but highly recommended!

Does anyone have any recommendations / experience with CVT belt replacements.
I'm looking at the following:

Gates - Redline 40R3691 G FORCE BELT
Ultimax - Ultimax UA UA485
EPI - Severe Duty Belt - WE265040

The OEM just seems expensive. But is it worth it?

Thoughts?

Did you ever end up riding the Paiute trail?
It looks like the Overland's fender flares push it over the 50 inch limit.

I'm planning on riding that trail system next month, and just wondering about your experience.

I'm planning on taking off the fender flares to get within the 50 inch limit.
Any recommendation on the plastic rivet removal / pliers?
Thanks.
