ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Weird noise
July 30, 2022, 12:03:44 PM
Went out today for a bit of a drive round but came home early.
When I got to 55mph +- a few mph there is a horrible kind of grating/rumbling noise.
As soon as you go below 50mph the noise dissapears.
I'll take a look soon and report back, maybe I drove over some green peace Liberal do gooder.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Tyres
June 22, 2022, 04:28:25 AM
Hi.
My tyres are soon going to need replacing.
I don't have the luxury of a trailer so I need to drive to different green lane areas, some are a hour away.
This wears on the tyres really hard.
Does anyone in the cfmoto forum world know of a hard wearing tyre for the road that's also good in muddy conditions?
Cheers for taking the time to read this.

General Discussion / Z800 EX gasket thickness
June 14, 2022, 05:02:51 AM
I'm about to change the wet clutch on my zforce 800 ex.
Does anyone know the gasket thickness for the 2 gaskets? just in case they tear

I want to check the wet clutch on my z force 800 but I don't want to miss something crucial.
Does anyone know of a good YouTube video that explains it?
I've looked and have only found drive belts and pulleys etc, nothing about wet clutches.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Re: Belt
May 20, 2022, 02:06:08 PM
Thanks for the info. The people who owned it before me had the gates belt put on. I read in the cfmoto workshop manual that the specs for the standard belt are 34.5mm as standard with a service limit of 33.5mm.
According to gates website the Gforce belt fitted was 36mm, I measured it with a vernier and it's somewhere between 35mm and 35.5mm. Could this be the cause of the sometime jerky pulling away? Time for a standard belt I think, and possibly new rollers

Rubber pads, I was thinking about thicker pads, and yes there are pads there but thin.

Does anyone else suffer from both seats being wobbly, the plastic mount seems very flimsy.
A 'fix for this would be appreciated

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Acceleration
May 13, 2022, 03:11:08 PM
Just bought a 2013 zforce 800 ex. Gave it a service as the acceleration from standstill was jerky. Get this, spark plugs were finger tight I couldn't believe it, but it hasn't cured it. If I'm moving and accelerate it's perfect. If I'm sitting still at traffic lights etc I have to gently feed the power on, if I put my foot down it pulls away sharp. If I use between gently accelerating and full throttle it jumps and jerks about, classic kangaroo petrol. I just wondered if anyone else has this problem, or anyone who's fixed it, maybe it's normal??
