Can someone tell me how to remove the plastic pins that hold a lot of the panels together without destroying them . I know that you are suppose to remove the centre then pull them out ,so far I have managed to get one out and not totally ruin it .

They vented a seal and lowered the oil level by .4 of a liter . They told me they were talking with Cfmoto Canada and they said it is only a few machines that is doing it , but of course my would be one .But since the repair it is fine

Welcome . I got my 500 zforce in March ; had an issue with oil in the air box but was repaired by my dealer . I now have about 700 km on it with no other issues . As it has been said by many others get rid of the stock air filter ; my dealer had an upgrade filter from Cfmoto . For a 500 it has all the power I need and overall I,m very happy with it .

I liked your idea and was trying to think where I could get some memory foam . When I was looking around the garage I noticed a couple pool noodles so I stuffed one in and it seams to work fine.

Had the same problem with my 500 zforce . The fix my dealer was told to do by Cfmoto Canada was lower the oil to 2.4 from 2.9 and to vent a crank seal . Have driven about 180 km since the repair and no oil in the air box

My new 500 zforce . Like the bike great as does my wife ( that is important whether you want to admit it or not ) Had a problem with oil in air box at first but it was fixed ; see my other post under zforce 550 . The 50" with is important due to tight trails ,has all the speed and power I need . Have added front bush guard from Snyper with minimal plastic modification , the rear will need a little more work to fit . Mud flaps are from truck flaps cut to fit . Half windshield is a piece of lexan bent on a metal brake which works great and only $60 . The last addition is a new air filter from my dealer , hope it works as good as it looks and came pre oiled .

Problem solved ? Finally got my bike back from dealer , what took so long was they had to get the authoized repair from cf moto Canada . The repair was to vent the countershaft seal and to lower the oil level to 2.4 litres from the 2.9 litres that is called for in the service manual . They took it for a 50 minute run with no oil entering the air box I have only had time to drive it for about45 minutes and no oil in air box . So far so good . When I get a chance to go for a good distance I Will post The results .
I hope this is the fix because for a 500 and weighing 1200 lbs plus me and my wife the thing works very good !

The air filter is not dirty ;started doing it when I drove it home from the dealer which is about 3miles away .
The 500 ho zforce does have a crank vent into the air box .
As for the 60 mph I did that once for about 2 minutes just to see what max speed was .

I am starting to push the dealer hard for a fix and will keep everyone posted . What gets me is the bike works very good for a 500 lots of power and a top speed of about 60 mph .

They checked the compression an it is 145 so the dealer did not think that is the problem

My 2016 zforce 500HO is filling the air box with oil . The other nite I was out for about 1hr and when I got home and pulled the drain plug from the air box and probably 1/4 cup of oil drained out . The bike has 190 km on it and I have already added over 1/2 litre of oil . It is at the dealer now and they have been talking to the head service rep for Cfmoto Canada and they admit they have a problem and are trying to come up with a fix .
I did a lot of research before buying but am having second thoughts
Have been reading some post and just to let you know it does not matter if I drive fast or slow and no it has not been tipped even slightly the last time out .
