I thought that this would be a good subject, plus i'm curious. And where do you live.
I live in Weiser,Idaho and it's legal to operate a quad or SxS on the city streets and around town in general.
Certain rules you are suppose to follow to be 100% legal.
I use mine to make short trips to the hardware/grocery store ,the burger joints in town and to the river and parks to run my dog.Plus 3 miles from me are dirt roads that take you to the back side of a lake.
I find it much easier useing the buggy to get around town in than my truck.Plus way better on gas.And as always my smaller dog who is a schnorgi is always in the other seat,he thinks the buggy is his.
Weiser isn't a big town at all so getting around is real easy.

Thank you very much NMK.I guess a prefilter isn't a good idea.
I want to keep as much dust out of the motor as possible.

Going thru all or most of the forums has been very interesting.
I've picked up alot of information an tid bits along the way.But
as many discussion boards and forums i've been thru this one
is honestly the all around best of the bunch in my opinion.

NMK.
Thank you very much adding that,it's very usefull and will go in my
reference book.
I must say this.  I've spent alot of time on the computor looking at different
sites, forums, and what have you trying to get usefull information.
Out of all the places i've looked this forum seems to be the best and the most
active.To me that say's a great deal.

General Discussion / New Mexico fire.
June 20, 2024, 08:51:57 PM
Been seeing on the news that parts of N M are on fire.My first thought was about N M K
and hoping that he was ok and safe.
I hate to see these fires destroy and take every ones all they have busted thier hump for.But loss of life in these fires is worse ,stuff can be replaced.
My heart goes out to these people and others.

Since i've had my buggy and been on the forums i've noticed alot of information and such that others have posted.I decided to put together a book with alot of this usefull
stuff for the future to go back to when needed.
What i need to know is this.
Just like cars different years makes and models our buggys parts and so on will interchange.
If it isnt to much trouble what years, makes and models will interchange with each other when it comes to the buggy.
Mine is a 2018 z force 800 trail. Thank you very much ,and yes i have to much time on my hands.I have gone thru the forums and gotten what i can.

Information Center / putting a small list together
June 18, 2024, 03:07:05 PM
I have been going thru the all the cf moto forums that i can find in hopes of putting information together about my buggy.
What i mean is making a booklet that i can refer to when i need parts or just general
information. This way i just go to my book.
I have read a gang of posts and write ups about the z force and find it to be interesting as to what fits and dont.
Just like a car, parts and stuff from different years and models will interchange or work
on the year that you have.
What i have is a 2018 zforce trail and was wondering about interchange years and models?

General Discussion / Re: Super tech synthetic oil
June 17, 2024, 07:25:05 PM
I was wondering about the Super Tech oil and gear oil also.
I went on line and did some research.
Super tech oil products is made by the Warren oil company and mainly for Wal Mart.
They also make some oil products for Valvoline.
My last oil and gear lube change i used the synthecic and have put a few hundred miles on the buggy with no problems.
I will continue to use it.

May 29, 2024, 05:37:51 PM
When i bought my zforce i had to remove my roll cage for the same reason.
Nothing to it just look at where all the bolts are and have a metric hex head set handy.Good luck

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Re: KWT Separator
May 22, 2024, 06:27:06 PM
Thank you for posting the picture.I've been looking into both the
KWT and S&B for some time.I'm sure that both have thier advantages
but i'm leaning towards the S&B.
Why did you get a KWT?

General Discussion / Particle seperators.
May 07, 2024, 07:10:10 PM
Checking my air filter has gotten to be a P I A plus has gotten hard for me to do.But to make it easier i have been putting the loading ramps on my tailgate then backing the buggy up.It put's the air filter about chest high plus you have the tailgate as a work bench.
This weekend i got to checking out particle seperators anad found just the 2 that are made for off road.
They both have thier pro's an con's and are priced about the same.I did look for a cyclone type but couldn't find any.
I'm leaning towards the S&B cause the KWT is huge bulk wise and the limited space on the zforce 800 to put it.
I'm not to keen about the motor or where the extra dust dumps out with the S&B but that can be dealt with. Both have a 4'' hose which i think looks to big and ugly, maybe i can reduce it to a 3'' or 2 1/2'' with reducers.
With the KWT i like that the bottom snaps off to dump the excess dirt.
I did see an old post that NMK was looking at the S&Bs and wondering if you pulled the trigger on it?
I'm sure some of you have either or of these particle seperators and i would like to know why?plus how do you like it or do you not.Was it a pain to install and is the wireing on the S&B trickey.
This is a decent size investment $ wise plus i can't send it back if i try it and don't like it .
So i ask my fellow cfmoto people to please chime in.

I don't know how to do pictures i'm not that computor smart. But my Son n Law put it on for me and it wasen't that hard.
If you can find the video on u tube just follow the instructions or what he does and it's that easy. For my 800 trail i did not need an adaptor but you do need to take the stock steering wheel hub off to mount it to the steering wheel then to the steering shaft.
I bought the carbon fiber one cause i couldn't find an orange one to match the buggy.
I'm happy how it looks.
