What length bolts did you use?

60mm was the best size I could find at Home Depot. I think a few mm longer would have been better but they worked ok.

Any interest in a trip next week?  I am on vacation and have never been there. Could use a guide.

We are considering going this weekend on Saturday March 19th, but the weather is not looking great. That may not stop us though. It is also possible that if we decide to not go Saturday, we might go Sunday instead.

We are planning a Father's Day ride at AOAA on Sunday, June 19th 2022, weather permitting. I am planning to bring both the Viking and the ZForce 800 Trail, My Wife, Daughter and Grand-Daughter. My friend Bob will bring his Wolvy and his Son.

We will meet around 9:00 am for check-in. I am planning to stay on mostly easy/smooth trails and visit some of the cool stuff we have seen before like the mulch piles, scenic overlooks and the underground coal fires. We are also planning to take the trails into town for lunch. If mud pits and technical trails are your thing you are certainly free to split off and search them out.

We are also hoping to make additional trips to AOAA before then on shorter notice. Let me know if you are interested.

Here is a link to the AOAA website where you can read about the place and sign the annual electronic Waiver:

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Booster Seat

Taking the idea from CFMOTO Side Rider's video:

I added spacers between the driver's seat and seat bracket. The rails are a piece of scrap 2x4 split into two 2x2s, and the center piece is just a length of scrap 2x6. The extra 1.5" of legroom is great and makes a huge difference for me, not just because I am less cramped but entry & exit are far easier.

Instead of getting fancy with slots, I just measured carefully and drilled two oversized holes in the rails where the seat is as far back as it can go. The 2x6 center piece is held to the bracket by four self-drilling screws with washers.

Lol it was very loose. Not even finger tight. I was able to slide the pump assembly around. It is now "light tap" tight. Thanks. If it leaks more I will tap it some more.

I will look at that if the black ring is already tight but I'd bet it is the ring because there was gas on top of the tank.

Terrific. Thanks again.

Thanks. That is what I was wondering/expecting. I will check if it is loose and will see if I can tap-tighten it with a mallet and wooden dowel.

Which is the vent tube on your pic, left or right?

I filled my gas tank for the first time the other day, and like I have always done with my other SxS I filled it into the stem and pulled it into the enclosed trailer. The next day there was a puddle of gas on the floor and the top of the tank under the passenger seat was wet. Is this normal? Did I just over-fill it?

I haven't noticed that specifically but expect that the shifter will loosen up as it is broken in and the cable/linkage stretches. I have 15 miles and found if I run it smoothly from one end to the other it will shift well into any gear. I plan to make adjustments either when needed or at the first maintenance. That said you are probably putting some stress on the drive train when fully turned, and just like any vehicle that can make it hard to change gears. My Viking behaves the same way and even regular cars or trucks will have trouble coming out of park if you are on a hill.

Here are pics of the pigtail. Also pics of a plug in front on both sides and a plug at the rear I would like identified.

Thanks!

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Pigtail connectors

I picked up my new 800 trail yesterday.  There are two loose pigtail connectors in the glove box. Anybody know what they are for?
