General Discussion / Re: Water temp gauge?

NMK.I agree with you that a oil pressure gauge would be more important than a water temp gauge.I think installing one or the other for now should not be to hard if i can find a easy route for the wires. In the mean time i'll keep looking for the gauges i.m wanting.
I have not ridden the brute force for awhile untill yesterday.I almost forgot how powerfull it is,had a blast.Thank you for the responce.I would think that someone on this board might have done the gauge thing.Guess not,Thank you nmk

General Discussion / Water temp gauge?
May 22, 2026, 09:06:02 PM
I have a 2018 cfmoto z force 800.It's hard at times to see
the water temp gauge when the sun is blasting me in the eyes.So i thought
i would hook up a real temp gauge and go with that.
Plus it would be nice to know how hot it's running.
I have looked at ebay and a few other places and i'm not sure which
one to get.
Has anyone switched gauges with a real one and did it do what you
were wanting.Plus i don't need nothing that is going to be a pia to
install.I just think knowing how hot the motor is running would
be a plus. The factory gauge has never gone past 3 bars.
Thier are so many choices out there it's kinda rough to get some
thing good.

Take some time with your machine and tighten any and every nut, bolt you can find.I'm sure that might help some of the strange noises.

I know that this question has been asked and answered a bunch of times.
I looked and can't find it,so here goes.
I need to buy another uni filter for my 2018 z force trail 800 and need the part # please.
I bought one last summer that is suppose to fit but the rubber on the filter wont fit the plastic piece like it's suppose to,It seems small.
Thank you

General Discussion / It won't stay running. Please help

I took the 2018 zforce 800 to the drive in at the bank.I turned it off to hear the teller
but didn't turn the power off.
I went to start it about 3 minutes later and it wouldn't turn over ....I'm thinking battery.
I had my Daughter and Son n Law come and jump me.
When they jumped me the buggy would start, once the jumper cables were disconnected it would die.
We tried this a few times and same thing.
My son n law seems to think it's the alternator that's gone bad.I think the battery has seen better day's.The brand of battery it it now is YUSA.
