I know that there is several answers to this question, based on what engine you have. But what is typical? And anyone who know specific to the Cforce 850 CX?

The purpose is to find out how much working light i can mount before it might become an issue.

No one else I know of has this safety interlock. Considering all the issues, if it were mine, it would be the first thing to go. Just don't shift gears when moving...period. Common sense with everyone else's.

I totaly agree on that. There is no sense in switching gears while in motion. And that was not my question eighter. It was more like if anyone got any experience on if there is any mechanical protection that will Keep you from switching by error or accident. Most cars with manual transmission got such a protection, but how about the Cforce 850 CX 2021 for example?

There is several threads on disabling the lock for preventing the shifter from being operated when not pressing the brake pedal. But my question is: is it safe to do so from a technical petspective. I mean, if you by accident ends up «switching» gear while having load/trottle. Is there some kind of a protection this to happend?

Hello there!

I have a Cforce 850XC 2021 with some weird power steering issues. First of all, the power steering seems to not work while stationary. Not always, but for the most of the time.
Secondary, i have experienced two times that the stering gets really heavy while driving. Almost as if the steering kind of contersteer - something that needless to say is a great safety issue.
I have contacted the local certified local dealership, and waiting for their response.

Have anyone heard of simular issues? And anyone who know whats the issue?

I am running Kimpex Click'n'GO2 (150 cm) with pushframe. Best setup i have ever tried here in Norway.

I am using the CF850CX primary for moving snow. The machine is perfect for the task, but there is only one thing i really dont like about it, and thats that instant kick when the clutch engages. Now it kind of "kicks" forward or backward. Is there any way to make the variator engage softer?

CForce 850 / Adding hazard blinkers?
November 08, 2021, 01:18:17 PM
Hello there!

Using the CF850CX manly for removing snow at night ith some traffic on it i decided to add some more hazard blinkers to make the vehicle more visible. Is there anywhere i can connect at positive or negative input for a relay to power these? I did hope to be able to pick up the signal from the hazard light switch but did find out that this is pulsing and not delivering a steady power source. I can of course use a delay relay to compensate for the pulsing, but is there another way around? I was hoping for the simplicity to add it to the hazard light switch and add a manual switch for have the additions on or off.

Greets!

You where perfectly right NMKawierider. I found the "sky" blue with a white stripe as a part of the connector going into the instrument cluster. The only thing that might be considered connecting by this method is to connect the positive site of the relay coil to be connected to an ACC-state power source, since this wire was found to be static negative no matter the key position. So that you don't leave the ATV by accident in R and ending up draining the battery.

And yes i know that i should backprobe instead of probing the terminal connectors in front, but i did not want to damage the seal on the connector.

Hello there!

I just bought a CForce 850CX and i am super happy with it, it got its minor flaws but i don't expect life to be perfect. The good parts by sure weights up for the negative parts.

I got a question about if there is any good way to get reversing lights on this? Since there is no original reversing lights on it i guess my real question is if someone of you guys know if there is anywhere else i can pick up positive (or negative) power when the gear is put in reverse. I guess putting up a bracket with a microswitch that are triggered when the gear handle is put in R also is a solution but might it be some reverse switch or other power source (i have not checked if the reverse light output in the trailer socket is active). All i need is power to activate a relay so i can pick up power directly from main power supply.

Any thoughts?
A guy just asked that question on a Z. All CFMs are the same in this way. Do a search. I just ansered it today.

Thanks NMKawierider this is perfect,

I will check later today if i got a conti to ground on this when reverse is applied.
Does not necessary have anything to do with the case, but on the 2021 the only gear that is indicated by a "light" on the dash is the neutral,
the rest is on the digital display. But the reverse switch might still be as before i guess.
