I just bought a CForce 850CX and i am super happy with it, it got its minor flaws but i don't expect life to be perfect. The good parts by sure weights up for the negative parts.

I got a question about if there is any good way to get reversing lights on this? Since there is no original reversing lights on it i guess my real question is if someone of you guys know if there is anywhere else i can pick up positive (or negative) power when the gear is put in reverse. I guess putting up a bracket with a microswitch that are triggered when the gear handle is put in R also is a solution but might it be some reverse switch or other power source (i have not checked if the reverse light output in the trailer socket is active). All i need is power to activate a relay so i can pick up power directly from main power supply.

Any thoughts?

A guy just asked that question on a Z. All CFMs are the same in this way. Do a search. I just ansered it today.

I will check later today if i got a conti to ground on this when reverse is applied.
Does not necessary have anything to do with the case, but on the 2021 the only gear that is indicated by a "light" on the dash is the neutral,
the rest is on the digital display. But the reverse switch might still be as before i guess.

You where perfectly right NMKawierider. I found the "sky" blue with a white stripe as a part of the connector going into the instrument cluster. The only thing that might be considered connecting by this method is to connect the positive site of the relay coil to be connected to an ACC-state power source, since this wire was found to be static negative no matter the key position. So that you don't leave the ATV by accident in R and ending up draining the battery.

And yes i know that i should backprobe instead of probing the terminal connectors in front, but i did not want to damage the seal on the connector.

Just use Keyed power as the source. Most just use the ACC circuit.
