very interested in buying a cfmoto!
« on: February 07, 2016, 01:19:09 AM »
ok been looking at tons of videos mostly in foreign languages. i want the new 2016 zforce 500 trail. info on this machine is scarce.

all i know is it will go 55 mph. but i want to know how it performs on the trails. hills especially. now i have watched the cforce 500 ho videos to see how the engine performed in certain situations. hard to sometimes with them playing music with there video. u think with a new model they would get a magizine or a dirtrax etc to do a review. so say just get the 800 . i just cant spend the extra grand on the machine. looking to spend less than 9k and have one quote for 8500 on the new 500 trail otd.

That's the problem with these machines and especially with a new model. Not much info out there.. especially on the 500. Dirt Trax is the only one I found out there that did any kind of reviews with CFMoto and it was only with the Z8. We do have a new member with the CForce 500 with over 800 miles on it now and says he loves it and there is a number of vids out there with the 600 Zforce that should be very similar

I would go with the 800 zforce .me and my wife test  drove a 600 and was very disappointed with power..not sure how the 500 would be but we went with the 800.Has plenty of power and we just love how it performs.

I have the z6 and it's not that bad. The rzr 570 will leave it in the dust. The z5 I think will do better. It doesn't have a wet clutch so more power will reach the ground. I did check on the weight and it does look like it's a a little bit lighter than the z6 also. I do get out to spots that are hilly, after tuning the clutch a little I'm not worried that I won't make it up a hill. If you are willing to pay the extra money for the z8 than you probably be pleased with it. More power is always nice to have. The z5 can't be compared to something putting out almost twice the hp. If you keep that in mind than the z5 will be plenty of fun, especially at the price you pay.

I guess it is built on the same chassis as the z8 so all the doors windows ect will fit. I would agree it is nicer than the z6. Most the stuff that bothers me about the z6 seems to be taken care of in this new model.

Heard all good things about the Z5 with the increased horsepower but I'm still loving my Z800. If you're financing the extra couple grand is worth it. IMO.

Probably better power feel but you have to remember, UTVs are very different the ATVs especially the weight. And the ride is more.."drive" then ride too..ie you are not going to move around and make any difference on what happens like an ATV or motorcycle.

oh i am aware of that. i just dont want to not make it up regular trail hills. and be able to cruise the atv trails in the 20-30 mph zone. the maine focus for this would be my son. he loves going riding with me but has gotten big and wont ride in back of me.

Funny how that happens..kids growing up that is...lol.   I'm sure you won't be disappointed. All these things do run pretty good. Maybe you can test drive one a bit.

It's just a generic ZForce add. There is one just like it out there for the Z8. That one's for the Z550. I thought you were looking at the new 500.

Here's one for it:
