Howdy y'all,

My wife and I new to the side by side world. Well, relatively new. Last summer we rented a couple of SXS when my wife's brother and his family came out to visit. There are some OHV trails accessible from my driveway. The Wolford Recreation has over 100 miles of trails to ride on. And, I think we came close last year.

Suzanne and I had been talking about getting a SXS for several years, basically since we moved to our town. Because of all the trails we have here. And, I have a traumatic brain injury that limits what I can do. Chief of which is driving a car by myself for long distances. I get lost and I can't remember where I am going or where I came from. But, I can drive by myself in our town.

We realized this spring that we really wanted a SXS, but, when we started to look, almost every one was out of stock or unavailable or way too expensive. Last weekend, I was looking at powersports dealers within a 100 miles of my home trying to see what, if any, inventory they had in stock.  There was virtually no used units, except on CraigsList. And they were priced close to new units.

I did find some utility models, but that isn't what we wanted. There were some Can-Am Mavericks and Commanders, Polaris Razr 1000 4 seaters and similar units but they were over $25K. And since we weren't sure how much we would use the SXS, we didn't want to spend that much money, even though they hold their value up here really well.

Then, I stumbled across a dealer who had several Z-Force 800 trails in stock. I had looked at CF-Moto before and had read some good things about them. I did some quick searches last Saturday and read more good reviews from the past couple of years. The bad reviews I read were either from idiots who didn't know how to use the machines or had legitimate concerns but didn't know how to file a warranty claim or how to follow through on contacting CF-Moto or the dealer.

So, my wife and I made the hour trip to go and take a look at it and we took a test drive and, well, we bought a blue Z-Force 800 Trail.

We picked it up this morning and when we got it home, we took it out and were gone for 3 hours. And 40 miles later, we realized that we made a great choice.

Now, we just need to get it lifted, add bigger wheels, maybe make it a bit wider....

Hmmm, what else could we do with it?
Wow, these things are FUN!!!

Thanks, My dealer actually threw a 2 stage filter in due to the dusty conditions around here. Well, not really because he sold them above dealer cost ($11,579 vs $11,199) but then, he had them.

Oh yeah, is it normal to wash it after every ride?  ;D

Depends how bad it is and when the next ride will be. If its going to be a while before the next ride, don't want wet mud and stuff sitting and rusting stuff or drying making it hard to clean later but If you are going back out the next day or a few hours...or if it's just a little dusty, then it would be a waste of resources.

I go to the coin operated spray wash after every ride. Easy to wash it while on the trailer and it dries out on the way home. The mud comes off way easier if you don't wait a day.
