New Z force owner
« on: April 24, 2016, 08:52:26 AM »
Just got my Z force 800 trail a couple months ago and love it. I just wish it came with a depth finder. Thanks to Smithfield Powersports in Smithfield, NC.

Thanks NMKawierider I used all 50 feet of the winch cable... at least I know the winch works great. I think it would have gone through if the ruts weren't 4 foot deep ha ha, she bottomed out. yeah I'm researching tires now. what do you recommend? I went through some nasty stuff last night... Diff lock works! She climbs like a spyder mokey.

So much out there to look over. It would depend on what you do mostly. Stuff like that I would look to either a dedicated mud tire like a Silverbacks or Outlaws or something like a Mega Mayhem or ITP blackwater that would work pretty well on both trail and mud. I like the GBC Grim Reapers for all I do. Mostly trail but they hold there own in the deep-thick stuff too.

Yeah I would like to see more Z Forces on the trail also. There's a handful down at busco when I go along with a few U Forces. I normally like to trail ride but sometimes there's just a mud hole in the way ha ha. I've been to cape fear once and thought it was a good place to ride and heard good things about adventure world. There's no shortage of atv parks in the south. I want to get up to Hatfield and McCoy towards the end of summer.

I am looking for something like the grim reapers, I read up on them and seem bullet proof. Would I need to do any work to the machine if I run 27" with the 2" lift? I have noticed where I ride it does sit a hair low.

As far as I know the only thing you would need to do is set the secondary to another position to keep the bottom end, I just put a set of 29's on ours and set the secondary to the c1 position, works great, will spin the 29's no problems, yea were going to Hatfield the end of May.

If you're looking for an all-around tire that can hook up in some mud I think the ITP Blackwater Evolutions are the tire to beat.  The major downside to them would be if you road ride a significant amount.  The lugs will wear quickly since they're so knobby.  My GBC Dirt Commanders have REALLY impressed me as well.  They've done well in everything I've thrown at them, but like the Blackwater Evo's they'll wear quickly if you do a lot of road riding.

When I run my Dirt Commanders down I'd like to try a set of Pro Armor Crawlers.  They look like they'd last a million miles and supposedly do excellent in the trails.  That'll be when I buy some 14" beadlocks as well.
