New ride
« on: April 23, 2017, 02:08:50 PM »
Hey all. I acquired a 2016 400 series that was the first one I've ever had. I bought it on eBay for a very good price. 4wheel drive. Had a front compartment with a windshield on as well as a baggage setup on the rear. Had 85 miles on it. I've done some local field driving in northern Ohio but not a lot of places to ride. I just got back from Wayne national forest in southern Ohio. I put 220 miles on it. Only issue I found was the fuel gauge started blinking about 40 miles into the trip. I did hold my breath afraid I was gonna run out because my next Stop Was twenty miles away. I made it. When I went to put gas in it looked half full yet. Only took 1.6 gallons. But I had a great time. Did 56 miles in the dark. I'm going to Tennessee at the end of May for two weeks of backcountry riding/camping. Anyone know if there's a reserve switch for fuel?

Thanks

No reserve switch that I know of.. usually when they start flashing that means you are in reserve but sounds like your float needs an adjustment or the sending unit isn't working correctly. Shouldn't be a big deal though.
