New guy from KC
« on: March 28, 2017, 02:57:10 PM »
Hi all I'm new to the forum, but not the sport! I've owned my Z8OOEX for about a year now and thought it time to search other riders. Most of the people I ride with now are pretty much spread out all over the country, and its getting harder to setup rides that are reasonably close to my location. So most of my posts will be where to ride, and not "hey buggy won't start"!
I am still running all stock for now since it goes plenty fast enough, and will climb anything I have the guts to try ;D!Okay I lied a little.... as time goes by I may ask if anyone has installed an EPS on their rigs and what kind of a pain in butt it is? For now tho I'm good.

Well looky here, a Kansan!  Figured I'd find you over here eventually.  I got a whopping 40 miles on mine, but hopefully that changes this year.

Welcome to the forum, guys ! What kind of terrain/riding areas do you have down there in KC ? I can't imagine you see many hills to climb. I managed to fit my 50" ride through a 49" trail last month - it was so tight I smacked a plastic buckle on my soft top and broke it, but I did get through the trail.

First of all I live in Kansas I'M  not a Kansan!!!!  :D! I have actually hit over 200 miles and I still love it... okay I like it a lot. You have my attention on the air filter though. where did you get yours? Right now mine is okay but I know it is at Turkey Bay as well as St.Joe. Would a k&n be better than the UNI for our rigs in your well versed opinion!
And Karl wants to know..... do you know me????hahahahahaha!

Contrary to popular belief Kansas is really not flat! Tuttle Creek OHV in Manhattan Ks is actually a former Tank proving ground for Fort Riley. They sold it the city of Randolph Ks,and they in turn made an OHV area. The  jeeps, rock crawlers, and trucks made it very difficult to get around for sxs even 1000 rzr's. A lot of skid plate damage,as well as axles, etc. There are still some spots that i can get through...,but I'm not quite ready to tear up my ride to do them

I haven't replaced mine, yet, but plan to before it gets dusty.  I'm going with a UNI since we're all familiar with those.  I was told this is the correct part#  UP-6229AST.  It's 6" long with 2 1/4" ID, angled.

Thanks Ron, I'll look for that. Mine is still the paper one as far as I know. I'm pretty sure when I had my first service done they didn't change it.
