Hey all...I've lurked here a while before buying my Cfmoto and just wanted make an intro.  I'm Jerod and am in Missouri (where do you all ride?).  This is my first side-by-side and I must say that it's been a blast so far!  I picked it up last week from a guy who putted around his 3acre lot so it's never been on any trails until yesterday when I took it to St. Joe state park.  it did great, but I did lose a nut to the lower control arm and had to do a field fix (winched it up a tree and beat it with a rock), I guess I was lucky?  other than that mishap, this thing is great!  I'll post some questions later, just wanted to say hi.   Here's two vids from yesterday and today:

This is my friend at his father's house playing around after we properly fixed the lost nut:

Welcome. Yeah loose a-arm nuts..one of the things we all watch out for. Although once they are torqued correctly...plus about 5lbs, no one had had any issues.

Welcome to the forum.  I'm up in MN so I don't have any suggestions for rides that far south. Call up some of the local power sports shops. Most of the people there love to ride themselves and are usually happy to share there favorite spots.

That's just what I'm in the process of doing, putting together a toolbox for this rig before my next outing.  I hate the idea of going without any other riders, but that is reality for most of us.  before we figured out that we could use a tree to winch up and pop the bolt back in, I was starting to really panic because nobody was coming by and the only other person we saw after getting fixed was a guy on a dirtbike.

I think a sticky should be made for tools and things needed on the trail.  I can think of a bunch, but multi-tools would help minimize the amount taken and I'm sure there would be things i'd forget.  Can we get a list started possibly?

Sure. We should start a list based on people's experiences with issues and in addition to the basic set that comes with it..I think. This is one for sure.

As for tools I carry a 110 piece craftsman set. When we go riding there are average 15 of us everyone counts on me having that and we have used it a lot

As far as where to ride. How far are you from Ride Royal Blue I'm in Iowa and its a 10 hr drive for me but worth it also windrock and brimstone atv parks are in that same area

I get down to Brimstone at least twice a year.  If you'll be there for White Knuckle Event just let me know and I'd like to ride with some forum members.

it would be nice to meet up with other members on a large event.   I'm in St. Louis, Mo and go to St. Joe a lot on my bike.  There is an event coming up there at the end of April where they will have some demo rigs to test and also night riding.  Should be fun.  I plan on going for the day since the camp ground is already booked.   Im' also going riding April 15-16 there and will be camping.

St. Joe is a pretty nice and clean place to ride everything at.  They host events, and are having a big ride event at the end of April.   It's south of St. Louis, Mo and right off of hwy55.
