Hello from Fredericton New Brunswick Canada
« on: September 24, 2019, 09:01:10 AM »
Just bought a new Zforce 500 trail about a month ago.  It is currently in the shop having a heat sensor replaced and trying to find out why my dim lights do not work.  I am a little disappointed to have these issues at 350km.  I am also worried that I did not noticed the fan was not coming on soon enough to prevent engine damage.  The heat gauge did not go up that much.  The only way I noticed was a pool of coolant  on my garage floor.

Welcome. Little things are sometimes the norm at first. Then they usually iron out for a long time. The coolant may only be the .."infamous" water pump seal which 90% have at the start, then 98% of those stop by 100 miles. The rest have to replace that mechanical seal.  Just keep the recovery bottle and the radiator full for now.

Had to replace the sensor on my 600 Snyper as well ...later found the water pump leaking … keep an eye on the extra external spout on the rear side of the pump for droplets of coolant...( Yard Gear in your town has a great service dept. / 625 Snyper, St. Stephen , nb.)

Welcome neighbour!  I am also from the Freddy area (I live about 30 mins out, but work in town, close to Yard Gear actually).  I assume you bought your sxs there?  They have treated me excellent ever since I bought my 1000 in April.  Always quick to fix any issues without question.  I also had a few small bugs with mine but like I said, they took care of them quickly.  Hope you have good luck as well, enjoy the machine!

Thanks RedZ1K
I do like the machine  and have put it through some challenging trails already.  Curious about your lift, what did you use and does it interfere with your suspensions, ie harder ride?

I used a 3" bracket lift for an 800 RZR, got it from Amazon. You wouldn't be able to go 3" with a Trail model I don't think, but maybe 2"?   Had to do some minor modifications to make it work but nothing serious.  I've only been out on one small trip since installing it but I didn't notice too much difference.  Never bottomed out on any rocks or anything so that's good.  Here are a few pics of it and what I had to do to install it.
