ZForce 600EX/600 / Shift linkage replacement

My shift linkage is junk. It will not stay tight and the ball joints rattling drive me nuts. It will not keep adjustment for very long.  I am now on the hunt for a good replacement. It is 6mm thread. Center rod is 18 3/4 long. The ball joint studs are staked in, but I am planning on drilling them out. I am unwilling to use loctite because of how loose the threads are now and don't want another cfm one. I will update if I find something but suggestions will help.

I have a few cot bunks for camping. These are great for tenting it, but as so heavy that I cringe at having to pack them. The heaviest parts are the thick wall poles. I was thinking about drilling some holes to lighten them up. I know the weight rating will go down, but none of us come even close to 500lbs a cot. Just looking for ideas for a point in the right direction.

I was thinking the grizzly fender dry storage box would make a nice addition to any atv. They can be had new at a reasonable price and used ones on eBay are cheap. I had one on my kingquad and loved it.

Looks like the 500S aka 520 is available in the US now. The new 500 engine in the 400 frame. A single seater with EPS should be what some guys are looking for.

General Discussion / Suspension bushings.

Mine are loose enough to need replacement. I don't want to use the oem ones because they were not good to start. I have decided to make some Delrin bushings. The z6 and z8 share the same ones but at different quantities. Depending on on how it goes, I may make extra.

My rear axle kept popping out of the differential. So after a few choice words, OK a lot of them, I took it apart and found the snapring is a bit small and just not holding well. I could have bent it out a little bit but I had an axle for an early 2000 sportsman. I measured the ring on it. They are thicker by .010 and will fit. It was a pain getting it to go in, but after making a match mark to line it up then a few good wacks, it's not coming out without my permission again.

ZForce 600EX/600 / Oil filter

I found this one. It is listed for a cfmoto spin on oil filter. When I cross this filter, it matches with other brands for the Suzuki Grand Vitara. Wix 57530 is a match as far as I can tell. Wix makes a great filter and I will have to look into this.

ZForce 600EX/600 / Aftermarket Air Filter

To date I have not found a filter marked for use with the Z6. I did email Uni with the size and stated there was interest in finding a filter that would work. Nothing for a response from them. I have some ideas on how to make a clamp on filter work, but I have too many projects going on right now and have to focus on a few to make room for my "backlog". I welcome any ideas on this or links to some filters by size as I see filters that look like the OE one but can't seem to find specs on anything.

I found my fuel filter and line hanging on the engine. The filter was mounted with a thin rubber strap like the starter relay is. It broke easy and there is enough line there to let it touch some pretty hot areas. I just had the vision of it leaking then the rear tires flinging fuel onto the exhaust.
