zforce800 trail passenger tie rod end keeps breaking
« on: August 30, 2023, 04:35:21 PM »
Hey guys, so I am not sure what is going on, but I am trying to find maybe a stronger tie rod end for the end of the tie rod, not sure if someone has been having this issue as well, it is only happening with the passenger side, never the driver side. Tie rod keeps bending pretty easy and I keep having to replace it every so often. Is there another tie rod that fits in there? I am not sure if its like an m5 or so.

Im thinking of just buying different tie rods and seeing which one fits.

I tried the Demon Powersports tie rod but unfortunately they do not fit the trail width one.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I need some clarification. At first you said the tie rod "end" was bending and failing but then you say the rod itself was. Which is it? If you bend the tie rod, it must be replaced not straightened as it becomes weakened. The ends themselves, although poor quality, generally stand up to average usage unless they are either warn badly or under extra stresses from..well, a bent tie rod, a-arm, knuckle arm(where it connects), or a very bad alignment problem...or the wheel just keeps getting impacted on things like rocks, stumps and deep ruts. I suggest replacing the complete tie rod and end and the boot..which I believe is a package deal and take a very close look at the knuckle as they had a lot of problems with the 2018s-2020s with them bending.

Oops sorry I meant the tie rod end. The parts that screws into the rod. I'm looking with the naked eye and it looks like the tie rod itself and knuck looks pretty fine.

Hmm I'll probably change part by part to see if any helps. If anyone has any other ideas or knows another tie rod end from another brand, that I can screw in the rod let me know!

As far as I know there are no direct aftermarket offerings for the ends...which is odd because even as they are Chinese..soft metals and all , they are of a standard design-type. Has to be something out there...they copied someone's.
