Hi All -

My Zforce (purchased used) was missing the winch when I bought it (it was taken out for whatever reason). I purchased the complete OEM kit (wiring harness, etc.) on ebay and reinstalled it.

I'm not at the stage where I need to run the power back to the battery and have a couple questions:

1) What's the best way to run the power back to the battery? Under the floor? Through the center console? I don't want tear off more body panels than required.

2) Does the winch wire directly to the battery? The connectors look like they connect directly to the battery posts, however I feel like this thing should attach to a fuse somewhere.

Your comments are greatly appreciated!

Through the center console wire-tied to frame members to stop movement and wear. And yes, the main cables to tie directly to the battery although some sort of 40-60 amp fuse or auto-reset breaker system would probably be a good idea...but no one uses one.
