Anyone ever think of converting a ZForce 1000 into a trail model by using the 800 trail components? And has anyone ever done this or know if the components will work?Just curious,as a 1000 cc in a trail would be awesome.

I'm sure if you had the money anything is possible. I had been talking with my engine builders, nFlow, about when the time comes, installing a 1000 top end on my 800. Their research suggests it is possible only with slight case modifications...however it does mean a crank-up build which also means deleting the wet clutch as well as using the new primary. In all the actual costs were only about 600 less then a complete new crate 1000 engine so... that idea has been shelved.

However one would think a 1000 trail would be dangerous but...Can Am has one so...why not.

I figured the chassis might be basically the same, you would then use control arms, axles and shocks from the trail. The old trick in the day, when i raced motorcycles, was to put the gsxr1100 motor in the 750 frame.Just thoughts.....
