I decided I was going to remove all my black plastics and paint them due to fading. This included the black plastic around the display. I did the back first and put it back on. Then I took off the front fenders and grille. I disconnected the headlight assemblies from the grille. I started to remove the display, but I broke both buttons for setting the clock and changing the odometer, tach, etc. When I seen how many wires there were with the switches, I decided not to bother and put the display back together. At this point I fired up the buggy to move it, and the display cycled and blew a fuse. (10A) Replaced the fuse and tried again. Same thing, blew a fuse. After checking it out, I decided the best bet would be to take it to the dealer, so I put the grille and headlights back on and reconnected the headlights to the wiring harness. Then, when I started it up, everything appears to be working. So, I concluded that for some reason, when the headlights are disconnected from the harness, it blows a fuse. However, I went to check my headlights, and as soon as I hit the switch for the park lights, it blows the same fuse. Scratching my head on this one. Everything worked before I removed the headlights, and when I reconnect them I'm blowing fuses. ALSO, the MIL is flashing a 0650 code. Headlight connector only goes in one way. Any thoughts??

Buggy has been in the shop for about a month. Dealer can't figure out what the problem is.

The P0650 code is a MIL circuit malfunction...says the light so there is something associated with the pod connections or circuits that is incorrect. Could the broken buttons be a problem? Did you replace them?

Blown fuses are the result of shorts to ground and should be simple for any tech to trace, especially if it isn't intermittent.

Get someone who knows how to use an ohm meter to take a look.

Dealer still has the buggy. They replaced the buttons. They also tell me it's no longer flashing the MIL malfunction code.

The clock adjustment button and the tach, miles, trip button.

Dealer replaced 4 switches. 4 way, headlight, and both buttons for the tach and odometer. Had it for a month, charged 2.5 hours labour.

Sounds like you got off cheap.
