What's the black pipe on the right side (passenger side)? Looks like it's coming off the side of the motor around to the back and square open on the end. Some kind of venting,but for what?

That black thing it comes from is a fan attached to the end of the crank. It blows air across the exhaust pipe and O2 sensor. It's main function is to move the hot air out of the engine area. The CVT exhaust on the other side does the same for the other pipe.

So if I cross a creek and it gets submerged it will blow the water out or am I in trouble?

Lol..it can move water as well... but no one has reported any issues with getting it under water so don't worry about it....I don't.

Not planning on going under,but crap happens.
