So the z-force 500 husband at the shop going on 3 weeks I called today to check and see what was going on with the water pump replacement the dealer told me they had all the parts except for the impeller so is the water pump multiple pieces I'm confused

So the z-force 500 husband at the shop going on 3 weeks I called today to check and see what was going on with the water pump replacement the dealer told me they had all the parts except for the impeller so is the water pump multiple pieces I'm confused

They are multiple pieces to the pump but most often it's just the seal that has to be replaced. On the Z8s they actually came out with a one piece kit with all the parts to just plug-n-play. Surprised they didn't do that with the Z5s. I would ask them why the impeller has to be replaced.

Probably a good policy..

Yeah, in the big picture , if I were digging into something I'd only want to do it once.  Make it new once inside and hopefully take care of any issues that may come from other worn parts.
