Hi everyone I am new to the forum and have a general question.  Does anyone know how to tell the year of a CFMOTO Z800US-A by the vehicle Identification No.

Looking at the VIN, the 8th character from the right will be a letter, followed by a 6 and your serial number.  That letter corresponds to a year relative to 2010.  A=2010, B=2011, C=2012, D=2013, E=2014, F=2015, G=2016, H=2017...

8th character from the right is a G, so that's a 2016.

Is it possible, I wonder, to determine the date of manufacture?

Main has the date of manufacture on a seperate plate as I remember.

J= 2018

I have a H so is it really a 2017? The dealer sold it as a 2018.

I just looked at my title and the VIN is: LCELVYZ12J6001139 but the year says 2018.
So this does not quite follow the letter per year designation. Guessing they skipped I and went to J for 2018.

I don't believe any manufacturer will use the letter "I" in the vin as it gets mistake as the number "1"
