My new unifilter keeps slipping off the plastic adapter,i have cleaned and dried both pieces,and yet either the clamp slips off or the filter slips off the adapter.Anyone ever use weatherstrip adhesive to glue to the adapter?

One end of the adapter has a lip or flange. It must either be flipped around or removed. Otherwise it can not fit the Uni rubber flange.
