U800 EPS
« on: May 11, 2018, 04:24:34 AM »
Hello

I have just purchased U800 through a dealer (it has only travelled 1.3 kms) when I start the unit the oil pressure indicator illuminates and then flashes. I checked the oil level and it is just over half full. The dealer has advised that they would get back to me but I wont hold my breath. Could this be simply a matter of more oil ? or something more like an oil pump?  I hesitate to drive it for fear of damaging it . Having to take it back to the dealer will be a major drama as it has been Transported 300 km to my property.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should start by topping up the oil to the full mark and see if the warning light disappears.
Check under the unit for an oil leak. Is the oil filter screwed in tight?

There are other dealers much closer to you if needed that will do warranty work such as the one on March road near the town of Almonte.

Not likely due to the oil being 1/2 a quart low. There are two different oil lights on these tho one is the oil life reminder which should be flashing but it would be I guess if there was some software anomaly or something. The oil pressure light kinda looks like a light bulb, upper left in the digital display on mine if that is flashing then it's seeing low/no oil pressure and I wouldn't drive it bring it right back to the dealer.
