Trip odometer

Sorry to ask what probably sounds a stupid question so here it is. Just bought a new CFMOTO 450L. The fuel gauge flashes empty but when I look in the tank there seems to be quite a bit of fuel so I would like to know how I set the trip odometer when I fill up. Thanks

I believe press the right button until the trip meter is displayed, then long-depress it..or the other button to reset it to zero.
