Hello All, there seems to be an issue with my transmission. The best way to describe it is it sounds like small rocks/gravel is being shaken around in a plastic container coming from the transmission/belt area, while making a slight grinding sound. The machine maybe has 200 miles on it and has only been driven in our yard and down country roads by my 2 kids, and has never been in water or mud. I bought it new 6 months ago so I'm out of warranty.

Any ideas what this can be before I start taking the thing apart?

Warranty should be for at least 1 year.

And I believe warranty is being extended to two years for 2021 year models.

What machine is this in? Yeah-warranty if still in effect. Take it in.

It's a CFORCE 400 4x4. Do you know if I have to take it in to the dealer where I bought it? There was an issue with it in the beginning and had a horrible experience with the dealer. Long story short, the EFI light came on at 20 miles and it took them 1 month to clear it, it came down to me having to contact the owner of the shop at his home to tell them what to do to get it fixed, and sure enough 12 hours later they called saying it was fixed... lol.

Oh, and it's a 2020. I thought the warranty was 90 days.

If you have an alternate dealer near you, it can't hurt to try them.

Yeah take it to any CFM dealer...and you should have a 1-year warranty like all the rest in the US.

and, be sure to write down all of your issues that you've had with the machine, dealer issues, conversations and outcomes.  CF Moto, from what I've read, is very customer oriented and take care of issues when presented.  If you feel the need here is some contact information.  With this said, my CF Moto dealer and service department has been top shelf whenever I have needed them, which has only been twice and early on in ownership.  Good luck.  https://cfmotousa.com/customer-care/customer-care-contact
