Trailering Receptacle & adapter 4 pin plug
« on: April 22, 2020, 06:25:33 PM »
I'm new to the forum. I am looking to see if anyone has tried to use that handy Round 7 way connector at the rear of my CF Moto z-force trail to connect a rear light bar. The adapter that came in the glove box pretty much fell apart just taking it out of the bag. I want to slave off the 7 way for ground, brake lights and running lights to operate a rear facing light bar. This way I'm not splicing into the harness and can disconnect it when I want to tow something. There's no pin assignments or even reference to the receptacle in the wiring diagram. Any ideas of how I can get the pin assignments so I can wire this up?

Thanks (newbie) dbrakeman

I would just use a multimeter and find out. Pin connection standards are different all over the world.

The one in the middle is usually the ground, but check with a multi meter.
