The 450L
« on: September 05, 2015, 06:39:08 AM »
I just ran across the 450L online. Nothing in English tho. The specs kinda tell me that it is the 400 or 425s but a little longer for 2up riding. This would be a great one to offer here. I wonder when they will discontinue the cforce 500 in favor of the 400 cc models.

The L stands for long or 2up.
I just finished a survey from head office in China about what will become of the 500classic.
I said kill it, 500 market is clustered.
Give us a mud edition 800 or 1000.
The classic 500 will die this Yr,
The 400 425 450 whatever it's call in your region spanks the 500. I ordered a 450 short for my pit bike.

I would have to agree they should do away with the 500. The 500 HO should  cover anyone looking for something in that class, especially at the price. The 400 will cover the entry level, so there is no need for the 500.

Our US regional rep said the 500 "classic" will still be around for 2016, but wont likely be back for 2017. In the US, it will be called the 400. From what we have been told about this model, it spanks the 500 "classic" in a drag race. Essentially, the 400 is half of the 800 (will use the same pistons, cylinders, ect). It will be smaller in stature, both in width and length. The US will NOT see a 2 person 400, at least for 2016.

They wont know for sure until closer to release for the US market as far as WHAT they will have (EPS, aluminum wheels, winches) but they do know the price will be $4499.

Hope that helps.

I think EPS in the 400 would be going to far for a smaller machine. price wise, it's close to what the 500 "classic" sells for around here. I would rather have a striped down one to keep price lower. If I was in the market for one I would give a good look. If they offered the 2up, then I might be looking at it before next season.

Our sales rep told us the following:

The 2016 500 classics they have were sent because they 400s were coming in "late". Once they are out of the 500 classics, they will not get anymore.

The 2016 400 will arrive sometime between December and February for the US Market. I was told the size is slightly smaller than the 500 classic. No mention on if it would be a 2 seater or a single seater. There IS a 2 seater 400, but they were unsure if it would come state side or if they will stick to just a single seater. We were told the MSRP should be around $4499, but they don't know what that includes yet (winch, aluminum wheels, ect).
