I have a 2014 terralander 800, last year I took it to the dealer to fix a variety of electrical issues (Rad fan, fuel pump, gauges not working). First time around cost me just shy of $2000. now 2 rides later I have an O2 sensor code flashing, the dealer told me to replace the o2 sensor in number 1 cylinder. I changed the sensor and now the code is still flashing after 15mins of riding and my bike is gut less and randomly has all its power or bogs down to having very little power and sounds awful. Without looking at it the dealer wants to replace the entire wire harness, I was wondering if any one can point me in a direction before I pay another $2000 on this thing.

Need to know the condition of the engine before spending any more money on it. Need to check the compression, do a leak-down test, check the valve timing and know what the actual oil pressure is along with if the muffler is plugged-up with carbon from oil burning. Starting to sound like either you were screwed by your dealer or.. she's about done. May be time to get something else...and find another dealer/shop!

Yeah...exactly. They aren't worth very much at best...like 2800-3200..and spending 2000 on it isn't making it worth more. Get that complete health profile and go from there. May be something simple. But..say..it's been run most of it's life with the CFM air filter..she's probably done.. and in need of a full rebuild. Let's hope not.

Look in the Information Center. The Unifilter is the way to go and the number is there.
