has anyone attempted to install a steering stabilizer on the zforce 800ex i have the non power steering version and when im trail riding and going threw a mud hole and hit a rut it will jerk the wheel out of my hands wondering if a stabilizer would stop or at least help this issue.  any thoughts?

A little surprised to hear that. Although I have the power steering and nothing gets through it..at least not yet.. I would have thought the rack and pinion would have stopped most of it as it does on other machines with rack and pinion steering. Interesting. Probably take a little fabrication to rig-up a stick-type to one tie rod or a rotary type to the input shaft...but I'm sure it can be done. Nope I take that back. The input shaft makes more then one revolution so that's out. And the rack has a long reach or through so...maybe a larger one off a Ford or Dodge truck. Will make it harder to steer though. Might also check the toe-in. If it's toed-out at all it can pull one way or the other harder in ruts and stuff.

I agree with NMKawi.  Your the first one I have heard of that has had a problem with it.  I would check your alignment first thing also.  Are you running big tires?  I will add that I have had the wheel ripped out of my  hands and I have PS.  But its not a common thing at all.  For your alignment you want to be about 1/8" to 1/16" toed in on the front.  That keeps it more stable.

Thanks fellas It really only happens when I hit holes real hard lol but yeah last weekend watched to rzrs hit this pretty deep hole so I did the same😎 and yeah hit a rut and wheel jerked hard to the right and if I had my thumbs in the wheel yeah they probably would been broke.
I'll look into the alignment

I've had mine spin out of my hands but I was doing about 25-30mph and hit a rock on the side of the trail with the side of the tire. took a chunk out of the tire, I wouldn't expect anything different though. normal riding it's been fine for me can get a little jerky over really rough stuff but nothing out of the ordinary. I usually don't have a death grip on the wheel so going slow over really rough stuff sometimes the wheel will catch a rock and spin to the lock but only because I wasn't holding the wheel tight.
