keyways and keys are the one thing in this world that tend to lean towards standard (non metric) sizes.  I know most/all of the machine is metric but it does not surprise me at all that the key and keyway are standard sized.  Dont try to make it more complicated than it is.  its 1/4" so if anyone needs one then buy a 1/4" key
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.
