Can anyone point me where to buy the keyway for the secondary clutch foot the helix.  Fell out while using my dad's vice into an abys of crap so now it's gone forever

I think you better dive-in because although its only 4.05, Alpha-Sports doesn't ship anything less then 20 bucks..I guess you could order a couple of oil filters with it but you are looking at maybe 10 days to two weeks. Its part # 0800-052005, Key. Its metric so maybe you can get the size and look locally for one. I don't know the length though.

Well...anytime my day goes like that I think about how it could have been worse.

Actually yes I would like to know if you have the measurements, I just got an E-mail from Alpha that the 2-3 day order won't be filled since they don't have some of the parts, so If I can get the right keyway I will cancel the order with them.

That's funny.  NOt really, but I feel your pain.  I share a shop with my dad who is no clean freak, to say the least.  It's his shop, but all of OUR tools are there.  He leaves tools scattered everywhere, where I always put them away when I'm done.  He leaves leftover parts on the bench, etc, etc.  It's frustrating.

What makes it worse is the vice is on the milling machine.  So there's a ton of metal scrap and metal shaving and just junk all around the thing..  i was so pissed Sunday.  But oh well,  the tires and dr pulley sliders will be in by the time i get the keyway so I'll just do everything at once now lol.  29s should be fun

RedRider, just measure the slot width and length from below the circlip groove to the end of the keyway slot. As I recall the key is just slightly shorter then that...like .5mm shorter. Close enough.

Width and length is easy enough but depth is much harder to measure. I imagine they are not all the same depth but I don't know. I really just wanted one in by this weekend, but not sure if that is going to happen with alpha now.. Why pay them an extra $10 for shipping 2-3 day when they don't have the parts in stock anyway?  That kinda pissed me off.
