Questions about valve adjustement and speedo...?
« on: July 26, 2023, 11:59:26 PM »
I have 2 questions for you guys.  First, is it normal to hear a clicking noise from the valves?  When I adjust them to the specs, I hear the clicking noise.  If I put them like they were, no noise but the valves are very tights.  It's the dealer who adjusted them too tight at the 20h maintenance.  Second question, a speedo can be calibrate or adjusted?  I noticed that my speed was 10 Km/h slower then the speedo.  I used 2 differents applications on my phone who track my position and speed by GPS and it have a too big differences IMO.

Thank everybody for answers and sorry for my poor english, I'm a french reader of your awesome forum!

1-No, not normal to hear clicking when adjusted properly. Many mistake TDC of the exhaust stroke for TDC of the compression stroke and adjust then there when they can not be. Otherwise they are being adjusted incorrectly.
2-Most of then can be adjusted/calibrated. There are some ways in the How-to section otherwise refer to YT.

"Loose valves are happy valves"
Set exhaust at .15mm, and intake at .08mm
That gives you wiggle room +-.
