Power steering
« on: April 12, 2016, 07:30:44 PM »
I'm looking at a cf moto 500. They don't have power steering. Anyone here have one? Any opinions for or against power steering? Thanks.

My knowledge on the 500 is limited but in general, most all CFMotos steer very easy without power steering. However there is a thread on here about some C-Forces that have a steering issue that was limited to just a few machines. I'm sure others will chime-in with additional info.

Not sure about the 500's but I've seen this video of an 800 non eps WITH camoplast tracks. And he mentions the steering, keep in mind this is with tracks and a heavier machine.

If your trail riding than EPS is not needed. Slow in ruts, it would be good to have. Most do steer pretty good without it unless you have a bad elbow or shoulder.

I have to disagree here. EPS shows how incredibly useful it is when trail riding. Not only does EPS help in low speed turns, but it almost completely eliminates bump steer caused by ruts, stumps, and rocks in the trails.

I personally like the "feel" of the non eps, I feel as if I have more sensory information going to my hands. The eps is a great option not knocking it at all. Just a personal opinion I feel more control of my vehicle as I get that direct feedback from the ground. I also have no strength or health problems, yet, lol that the eps would be a NEEDED option. I'm sure others feel differently.
