Should the side mirrors be mounted lower or higher?

Lower, looks cooler, doesn't block forward vision!
Higher, blocks more of your forward view but you see more in the rear!

Got them today, put them on, they look good & will be a lot better than the originals; taller, better mirrors.

Had to get a piece of rubber pad to put under all 4 clamps to get them to be tight enough against the roll bar.

Past that it all fit, these ones mount high on the roll bars so the rear vision is superior, I think. Thought about putting them lower, but just didn't seem right.

Also considered leaving the original mirrors on, just to see what people would say. I'd have (5) rearview mirrors on the rig; if they asked me WTH I had all those mirrors for, I'd just tell them I'm living in the past; and watch them get more confused.  8)

Can you see one of these guys, after riding, at the end of the day; "did you see that Chinese machine, he had (5) mirrors on the thing, what the hell????

Where ever works right for you I say. I just like the larger mirror and it's adjustability no matter where I tried it. Oh...and those old mirror brackets do come off...lol

They look good and I like seeing the guys riding behind me but I'm thinking they would not work for me; the Tree Gods love messing with my little stock ones all the time...

I have the same "Tree Gods" issues too but I found these (probably much like the Seizmiks) tend to fold in and out better then the stocks. For me, although they do help see the people behind me, I use mine more for watching where the rear wheel is during tight turn-arounds on trails that...well..you do not want to back up too far on...lol

I like the looks and size of the new mirrors much better, location seems at a better angle sight view than the originals. As long as they fold in when the "Tree Gods" get involved no problem. Let us know how they hold. Thanks!

Rode with them today; for the first time, I liked how they worked, you could see behind real good, but I didn't like how they blocked the views, especially coming around corners, of other vehicles etc. I'm going to start installing the first set of doors from Russia that arrived today, and see how the mirrors will interact with them; I am going to move them down for sure.

My other set of doors are...in New York! The mail people there called me at 5:35 this morning; told me that they "have this big box, it has your address on it, is this something you were expecting from Russia"
They actually said this. Now that box is another week out; thanks to USPS. HOW do they do that?

I have tracked packages that were only a state over travel almost across the entire country. I  think if you spent a week at the USPS, your jaw would drop at what goes on.

That's why I dropped mine back down..they just blocked my view too much up high.

So how do you like those SATV windshields? Any issues with having to see all the hardware and the split?

The split windshield is excellent, it doesn't interfere with visibility at all, and I moved the mirrors down today...much better.
And BTW; yesterday, when USPS called me from (GASP) New York (I am in Idaho); they told me they have my package, right? It got here today. Must have rode a lear jet.  ;)
