There's a guy who posted on the sale section a bunch of ex parts,  might be a good deal for you.  I thunk you will probably lose your ass more trading in and getting the ex version so if you want the 60 inch wide what you are doing is probably the way to go,  your dealer really screwed you there.  I have nothing negative to say about it i only gave input as what i think you will need to do the conversion.

Yeah if you think it's the right thing to do then do it. We always talk about what it would take so personally I would like to have a thread on a trail conversion and all that it entails.

I promise you this is not what I thought about when I purchased this thing! I had a Hisun before and I researched and researched and I seen bad and I seen good I put 960 miles on it never had a lick of trouble just thought when I purchased it a 500 will do all I need to do there wasn't any aftermarket parts or anything! They started carrying the cf moto 800 and was intrigued I researched again and found Super Atv had a lot of aftermarket parts Lift, high clearance a arms! Bumpers and more after looking into there build of the cf moto 800 that's what I wanted! I wanted to buy a lift high clearance a arms after the warranty ran out! Not what I wanted but it's what I got!

Been in touch with super atv. We are trying to get them to. Hold a kit just for the trail version. I think there's gonna be a huge calling for these.
I know I'm one of them. I think what we need to do is all get in touch with super atv so they can produce a kit for us non ex owners. I agree with Herman80 these machines would look kick a$@ with the high clearance a Arm kits installed.
Hopefully super atv can come though for us.

maybe Rodin can fab something up... he does a great job at them doors.
Im trying like hell to save my pennies for a set! Maybe he can fab up some high clearance a-arms and sell as a combo kit!!

I understand what you are saying.  Im not trying to tell you "Dont do it" but I wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into.  By your above post you do know what your getting into and Im sure you will get it done.  I have seen more people start projects and get in over their heads than I can count.  I dont think that will be you but people do it all the time.  Good luck with your conversion and keep us posted on what you come up with
