I have read the the kill switch can cause problems do to the fact that it is a cheaper switch. Has anyone removed their kill switch. I would like to use the slot for some extra stuff I want to add

I always leave mine on, so it wouldn't affect me to just wire it hot all the time and use the key like a normal car. It's how it gets used for me anyway. In fact if someone shuts off the kill switch it throws me for a loop when it won't start with the key next time lol.

I don't use it...and if I bump it when cleaning or one of the grandkids shuts it off I always freak-out when it won't start. Half temped to delete it too. The wiring diagram shows what's connected when in the ON position so it should be cake to do.

I do use the kill switch every once in a while.  The cooling fan will continue to run it's cycle when you kill the engine with the kill switch.  The fan will shut down immediately with the key.  So I use the kill switch when the cooling fan is running to let it run its cycle after I shut the engine down before turning off the key.

This is for a CForce.  Not sure if it's the same on all models. 

I have my fan wired to a switch on my dash. The thermo switch went out and I need the fan fixed right away so it's going to stay like that. I did find the wording diagram and it does look like a no brained on the wiring for the kill switch so I may wind up leaving it and if I ever have a problem I ca always just change it later.

I recommend you replace the thermoswitch as these fans and not rated for continuous duty and will fail at some point running all the time. Then..you will be truly F'ed. Wire-in a bypass as many of us have so you have it if needed but let the fan system work as designed in the meantime.

I do not leave the fan on all the time. I bough my z6 usedfron a non cfm dealer. They wired the fan direct to ignition power. I changed and added the switch and only use it when needed. Temp gauge reaches 4 bars I turn it on
