So im getting ready to pick up a 500 CF Moto in a few days I've been talking to people that own CF Moto and getting their opinion up until last night most people said the issues they had were Miner or such a speed sensor or coolant sensor the membermem that I talked to last night said that they would not purchase another CFMOTO and referred to them as Chinese junk and cheaply made is this true and am I buying something that I'm going to have to constantly work on in the past I owned a 700 hisun and it was a total piece of junk had lots of issues with the air oil separator clutch and cooling fan I hope CF Moto is a Better Built brand

Very happy with my 2013 Z6 had it 2+ years and close to 1000 very tough miles on it; had to fix a few things but unless you sit them in a garage you are going to need to fix something no matter what brand you buy.

Ok cool and thanks I'm just basically trying to make sure that I'm not going to buy something that's constantly going to need maintenance

I can vouch for MY Zforce 800ex. It's done everthing I've asked if it.
From what I've heard about the Zforce 500 H.O.  is that it's every bit as responsive and fun to drive as the 800's. With even a little more umph than its predecessor z600. And it IS much better built than the HiSun. There is even an article about HiSun knowingly producing a bad product and getting into some hot water over it. The BBB has given cfmoto an excellent rating as well.  I know first hand that the cfmoto company has been amazing to deal with when any issue comes up.
Even the 20K RZR's (what the SXS industry is measured against) just had a 133,000+ recall.  So unless you're planning to go all RJ Anderson on it I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Like I said earlier, there are a number of items on these that could be of a better quality and some of their quality control practices could use some improving but overall I have had little issues however I spend a lot of extra time making sure I don't have the same issues others have and trying to upgrade the lower end parts for better. I won't be getting another one but hopefully all that I have done to this one over that last..600 miles...will lead to many solid and trouble free miles to come.

JJ if you know all the issues going in and don't mind the little stuff, then these are not too bad at all for the money. And the warranty is pretty good. I get frustrated sometimes dealing with things I feel I shouldn't so early on but..that's just me being 60+ and getting cranky....lol

And just a side note, mine runs like a watch and has never left me walking.

Well I guess I was just a little nervous because I had such a bad experience with the highest on the hisun I had the clutch went out with only 15 miles on it and went through 3 cooling fans it was just a bad experience so I'm not wanting to repeat it so all should be fine and the CFMOTO I'm buying the extended warranty and dealer told me extended warranty wouldn't start till factory warranty ended giving me a total of 5 years bumper to bumper warranty

I came from a Yamaha to the CF Moto.  Neither of them are perfect.  I have not had the CF Moto long enough to say its good in the long haul but i can say that it has had no more problems in the time i have owned it than my Yamaha did.  I was ALWAYS working on the Yamaha (not that they are bad).  Just keep in mind that EVERY machine that you off road will have problems and will need fixed.  Its part of the sport.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

True-that. And a good dose of common sense..and when to keep your foot out of it... goes a long way.

I have been watching the SXS market for quite some time. I dunno if its the internet, or that SXS seems to eat parts faster, or people tend to get drunk and abuse them or whatever. The shear amount of issues reported and the repair costs associated with SXS is daunting. No brands specifically, just in general.

I see more of the above highlighted then any other on the net. I do know of some people however that use them as intended and almost never have issues..for thousands of miles but they don't run with their foot into them all the time or put them under water..and don't drink while operating. They also know the dos and don'ts of off-road travel and their machines.

There's a lot of people on this video that are...in the learning process...:

Yes they are more work. Harder to work on because things are buried in them. It takes me a lot longer to clean it too. Guys tend to drive them the same as a regular ATV or worse because they have a roll cage.  I will have to admit that cfmoto has given me the most problems than anything I have owned. Most of them have been minor. Some have been what I would consider just bad decisions on there part. Poor material choices and general maintenance item placement. I do own a z6. It has been replaced by the z5 and it seems most of my issues have been addressed by the newer model. If you want to just trail ride and not do anything too crazy than they are fine. They are not as refined as the bigger companies but for the price, not bad. Resale will be bad because they are not well known.

Had my cf500 for four years now, serviced regulary and not abused. Had a sensor fail but still rode home (slowly) and would have no hesitation in buying another one. For the money I don't think you can go past the CF Moto (I have CF bikes as well) brand, and they will only get better as time goes by. Having a good local dealer is a bonus as well.

This is true for many reasons.  Drunk is 1 reason but another large part of it is most of the SxS's on the market are running the exact same drive train as a quad.  And they do fine as long as people dont drive like idiots.  But you add 1000lbs to the drive train on a quad and try to hammer down through some rough trails and you will have the same problem with breaking parts as SXS's do.
