Sounds about right Redrider. Your statement about the throttle pedal, "It should hit the floor" might be taken literally by someone, when in fact the pedal uses the stop screw to limit the maximum travel of the pedal to where it achieves full throttle. The cable mechanism of course isn't made to take the strain of also being the throttle stop.

my pedal does actually touch the floor now but it doesn't pull on the throttle body stop. I just did it by hand, felt where it was pulling against the throttle body then set the screw so it hit the screw first.

thanks all!! so just a siuggestion....i noticed the air intake coming from the air filter, which is located in the rear right by the passenger if that sounds right haha) is too low to the ground, in my opinion. Im thinking of redirecting it a little higher. My guess, in that position, it will suck up dust like there is no tomorrow being that close to the wheels

That's the air box that holds the filter the intake is next to your right shoulder if your sitting in the driver's seat looks like a v with punched holes in it. That is where air gets pulled from. Fyi not by the tire

What he said.  It actually draws air from right about the driver's right shoulder.

Can you take a picture of what you are talking about?  There should be no hole in the air filter box unless the intake tube was removed.

The only "extra hole" in the air filter box is the one on the bottom that allows water to drain. It should have a clear rubber cap on it with a pin hole in the center.

so this rubber piece here has a hole size of maybe 1 or 2 quarters? its in the right lower side of the utv. im guessing thats what is connected to the airfilter? maybe I should take it back to the dealer and have them give me a tutorial. they never did

so thats a black plastic tube that leads to the airfilter right?

as far as the air intake, im not seeing it on the right side of the passengers shoulder; that looks like a V thing with holes?  :-X sorry this is my first UTV. if any pictures, that would be great! havent had time to really play with the UTV yet

Those are photos of the fan and the blower tube, nothing to do with the airbox or engine air intake.
The intake is behind the little cover between the seats in the cab. You will have to remove 4 (I think) push-pins to take it off. There will be an outerwears-style prefilter bag over the end. Look ate my old intake videos in the How Tos.

Look behind this cover:

Well, a couple of things. First, you will find this one off the fan pointing at the rear O2 sensor and the discharge from the CVT pointing at the front O2 sensor. This does two things-One, It's said these need to be in open air to help with sensor body heat. In other vehicles you will find them placed where they are in some kind of air flow.. but on these they can't.. so they need some help. And Two, it keeps air flowing around the engine to stop heat buildup...which has been known to cause fires in earlier models. :)
