Congrats. First thing- Get a TwinAir or Unifilter in there before your first ride unless your dealer has already install the new CFM foam filter and don't go cheap on the foam filter oil..get name brand. Next, check all the suspension, differential and engine mount bolts for correct torque. Double check that the tie rod ends have their cotter pins. Then check everything else as time goes on. Change the oil and filter way sooner then they say to...like after 50-75 miles. 96% of the breakin will already be done by then. Expect the fan switch ( thermoswitch) to fail so have a jumper ready and in the glovebox...or install a by pass switch. If you see the temp climb to 4-bars and the fan didn't come on, jumper it. These don't like being overheated...Other then that just a splash of common sense and good maintenance and she should give you many ears of solid fun and dependability. Hell I even trust mine anywhere now...lol. Have fun and be safe..wear a helmet and eye protection! :)

Good luck and have fun according to the CFMOTO techline they're supposed to have a new Thermo switch that's more reliable

The airfilter is in the airbox which is behind the cover with two bolts on the forward side of the wheel well on the passenger side rear. The battery is on the driver's side rear behind ..you guessed it..another cover with two bolts. Taking the tires off makes them..more accessible.

Congrats!!!!, And there are NO stupid questions here. Pretty sure NMK covered the things to look for on these machines. Depending on your climate don't be shocked if you see some fogging on the headlights. Some experience it some do not, some had luck moving the vent tubes, others have not. Doesnt seem to hurt anything. Knock on wood I've been having great luck with my latest thermoswitch. Take note of the tab on the throttle pedal. Personally I have added a flange nut to the green screw to ensure the pedal does not stick. (Freak occurrence, I'm probably the only one)
Keep her cool and breathing clean air and a little TLC and I'm sure you will love it!

Yea after break in look on your throttle pedal for the stop screw, make sure you get full throttle throw. It should hit the floor. I found I was only getting about 7/8ths throttle for 6 months lol.

What I really wanted to say is congrats on the new ride! Your new dealer should have gone over where the air filter is & how critical depending on your conditions to look after it. Battery location should also be part of a good orientation.

If you paid for a PDI, it's really important with CFMOTO product it is followed & not glazed over.

I did it too! (bought a CF 800) and my dealer did a thorough orientation with me.  8) Thanks Dale.
There's a technique to getting that air box cover back on, I found. Now I know it but I sure couldn't describe it.
The factory is putting an oiled foam element in there now, looks like. Good stuff. Sounds as though there's a better temp sensor switch in them now too. All's well.
Got a persistent squeak in the left front brake rotor. Applying the brakes makes it go away for a few minutes. Backing up and hard braking makes it shut up a bit longer but it returns. Can't find any rock or foreign material in the pads. Is this what people are getting from the hard pads? Bit annoying and will be hard to impress people. "Hey, it's my new CF Moto! (squeak squeak squeak) Whaddya think so far? (squeak squeak squeak)  ;)
Maybe it'll go away.
Checking the oil is quite the challenge! Here's what I made for taking the plug out and lifting it out the inspection hole. It's 3/4" dowel with a slot in the end sized to wedge on the flats of the plug.
Have to start it back in from in front of the tire though as it's still angled and won't start with the stick.

You need to be careful with that statement. The stop is to prevent cable stretch, you would adjust one of two ways.

If you have the diagnostic tool you would set the the stop max TPS angle or voltage. This is how it should be done @ PDI.

The other way is you have get to the TB & find the point where it is WOT. Set your throttle stop just prior to that, you do not want the TB being the throttle stop. When you have this correctly set & the pedal on the stop you should just be able to slightly rotate the TB blade. The cable & TB will know have a much happier & longer life.

Congrats!  I purchased a 2017 model this year as well.  So far no real issues.  I did swap the air filter for a UNI, but I wasn't having any real problems with the stock one.  I just trust the UNI filters.  No thermo-switch issues for mine.  Although I did have a wire going into the sensor that came loose and caused an overheat situation.  It was a quick fix.

I had a squeak, had a rock stuck between the backing plate and rotor on the front

I adjusted so it still hits the screw but it gives full throttle, there is no way they had it set right, I gained 3mph and a decent amount of power felt in low range after setting it to get WOT.
