Good evening
I saw somewhere someone made their own skid plate out of 1/2 or 3/4" hdpe material.  I can't seem to remember if I saw this here or somewhere else. Any help would  be appreciated.  If I can't manage to fabricate one I'll just buy a set...

Most make them out of 1/2". Kinda expensive though..shipping that size is an issue unless you have a local supplier. I think for myself if I ever waste the factory skid I will probably just buy one from Iron Baltic or Ricochet.

It's just that some guys...and I have no idea how..cracked or broke their HDPE plates and I always ran the aluminum with no issues...and it took-up less room (1/4-" thick -v- 1/2")....and I believe lighter then the thick HDPE. 

I think I will go with the Ricochet set. Just waiting to bait them into a discount code
